.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD planned for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level names remained running.

Through our company, you can get your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will be able to switch the WHOIS contact details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the current registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no particular prerequisites on who can buy a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME domain is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the correct spelling in your native language.
